Introducing the 2025 Kiwis and Kiwi Ferns training apparel range, our official look designed to make a statement at the Pacific Championships.
The new training range echoes the look and symbolism of the korowai, a traditional Māori cloak. A garment that carries prestige, honour, and leadership, the korowai is earned, not given.
Blending performance with culture, the new collection carries the heritage of Aotearoa onto the international field through three signature colourways: a combination of blue and green hues inspired by feathers of the Tūī bird, silver to represent the spirit of Aotearoa, and brown drawing from Kiwi feathers, with a tāniko band linking back to the 2024 range.
The collection was brought to life through creative collaboration with local Māori artists, including Hiria Faofua from Ngāti Hine and Ngāti Kura, who crafted three complimenting bespoke korowai. “A korowai represents the coming together, the cloaking, and unity, and it carries so much mana”, she shared.
“It’s a symbol that represents us as a country… it’s not just a symbol for Māori but for everyone here, I feel that it cloaks everybody and brings us together.”
Each piece is crafted using Dynasty Sport’s Ecotek fabric made from recycled plastic bottles, reflecting a commitment to environmental responsibility.
