Rugby union convert Patricia Maliepo received a Kiwi Ferns call-up at the end of a super NRLW rookie season with the Warriors in 2025.
Just 16 when she debuted for Auckland in the Farah Palmer Cup in 2019, Maliepo was a regular at first five-eighth for the Blues in Super Rugby Aupiki and played 10 Tests for the Black Ferns from 2021-24.
Maliepo was superb in nine NRLW appearances for the Warriors in 2025, scoring four tries and kicking 17 goals, and racking up 32 tackle-breaks.
The strongest indication of the impact the 23-year-old made in her first rugby league season came in the form of her selection at five-eighth in the peer-voted RLPA Dream Team.
Maliepo made her Kiwi Ferns debut at five-eighth in Round 1 of the 2025 Pacific Championships against Fetu Samoa, kicking three conversions, producing one line break assist, and taking nine runs for 65 metres, before playing her second Test against the Jillaroos at Eden Park.
