In November 2017, PDRLNZ proudly took on the responsibility of arranging and hosting the very first PDRL 9’s tournament. The event took place at the renowned home of the Waitemata Seagulls in Auckland, New Zealand. Participants from esteemed teams such as Manly Sea Eagles, West Tigers, and South Sydney Rabbitohs, totalling 41 individuals, embarked on a journey to compete. Despite the NSW boys boasting an impressive 6 years of PDRL NRL experience, it was the PDRLNZ team, backed by the support of the Vodafone Warriors, who emerged victorious with a final score of 6-0 against the West Tigers.
