All coaches need to complete the Founding Principles of Coaching the Kiwi Way and any other relevant online modules associated with a specific course. Once the online work is completed, they can progress to the face to face coaching course with an NZRL Coach Development facilitator. Once the course has been completed, and the facilitator is satisfied all outcomes of the course are met, coaching accreditation will be awarded and valid for two years.


To keep accreditation valid after two years (3 years for Kiwi League Elite & Performance) the coach will need to complete the extension modules offered online or in the form of NZRL approved coach development. This is to ensure coaches continue to meet the standards and expectations of a Kiwi Way Coach, and that a coaching growth mindset is developing.
