Be a sport, Just Support

Be a Sport is a programme designed specifically to encourage positive supporter behaviour and provide more enjoyable rugby league experiences for our community.

How does it work?

The programme is run in all seven zones across the country. Clubs are provided with Be a Sport resources including signs to be displayed at home games.

Team Champions (TC’s) are nominated pre-game, and are responsible for managing their supporters. TC’s are given hi-vis vests to wear, wallet cards and a guide sheet to help them carry out their role. Sidelines are encouraged to be smoke, alcohol and abuse free.

Where behaviour is not appropriate, TC’s are to follow the steps described on the guide sheet.
