The 26-year-old’s next appearances was at halfback, in a win over Queensland, while he reverted to centre for losses to a ‘Kangaroos’ combination and NSW, and a victory in Newcastle.
Moir played halfback in Taranaki’s 15-6 loss to the touring NSW team in 1913 and later served in Egypt and France with the New Zealand Army during World War I.
