Auckland Marist centre Cliff Harris toured Australia with the 1952 Kiwis.

Harris made his New Zealand debut in a 21-8 win over Monaro and Southern Division in Goulburn, but an injury suffered in that match restricted the 20-year-old to just one more appearance on tour – in a 15-10 loss to Toowoomba.

Heading south in 1953 and joining Christchurch Marist, Harris represented Canterbury at centre and South Island on the wing against the 1954 Great Britain Lions.
