Are you an experienced graphic designer looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a Creative Designer to join our Auckland-based organisations’ Communications and Marketing team.

In this role you will have direct responsibility for the art direction and production of NZRL assets and brands. You will work closely with our dynamic team in a flexible and fun environment, to ensure all brand identities and assets align with NZRL values, objectives, and vision.

Skills Required

• Minimum 3 years’ experience
• A solid portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of strategically driven design work
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software
• Experience in creative concepting and art direction
• Ability to work with existing as well as craft new brand identities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating pixel-perfect designs
• Experience working in a collaborative team environment, with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution for all marketing/communications design projects, including both print and digital collateral, ensuring all projects are delivered to required deadlines.
• Actively collaborate with the Communications & Marketing team to deliver effective campaigns that drive brand awareness and engagement across all channels.
• Work alongside the Digital Content Manager to conceptualise and create captivating digital graphics that align with the brand’s vision and objectives.
• Work with the wider organisation to deliver collateral that aligns with business objectives.
• Act as a NZRL brand custodian, ensuring all work enhances and reinforces the NZRL brand and its values, and that all brand standards and guidelines are upheld.
• Continue to evolve the NZRL brand and other brand identities to meet the needs of our target audiences and stakeholders.
