Taranaki winger Fred White toured Australia with the Kiwis in 1963.
White scored a try on debut in a win over Southern Division in Wollongong just a few days before his 22nd birthday.
He played in subsequent victories over Newcastle, Brisbane, North Queensland and Wide Bay, and a loss to Central Queensland, but Neville Denton, Brian Reidy and Ken McCracken were preferred on the flanks for the Test matches.
White remained a potent presence on the provincial scene, most notably scoring 11 tries in four matches during Taranaki’s 1969 program.
