Auckland centre Allan Seager toured Australia with the New Zealand side in 1930.

The younger brother of 1910-11 New Zealand rep George Seager, the long-serving North Shore player became an Auckland regular during the second half of the 1920s, represented North Island in 1929 and earned a spot in the Kiwis squad the following season.

Seager played eight games on tour (no Tests were on the schedule) and scored tries against Brisbane Firsts, Metropolis and Southern Division.

In 1931, Seager played two matches at Carlaw Park against the touring Eastern Suburbs club team from Sydney for Devonport and a Marist-Devonport combination, facing off against the brilliant centre combination of Dave Brown and Ernie Norman.

A year later he was in the New Zealand Presidents XIII line-up that was humbled 59-8 by the touring England team at the Basin Reserve.
