Wellington front-rower Peter Turner scored five tries in seven appearances on New Zealand’s 1959 tour of Australia.
Turner was among 12 players chosen tour from the National Coaching School team, which almost upset a Kiwis side in the final trial.
The red-haired tyro dotted down on debut against Newcastle and bagged a double in his next appearance against Riverina, before crossing in later appearances against Central Queensland and Wide Bay & Burnett.
