The elder brother of 1936-39 Kiwi Wally Tittleton, centre/winger George Tittleton represented New Zealand from Waikato on the 1930 tour of Australia.
The Ngaruawahia tyro was a tryscorer on the wing for South Auckland against Great Britain in 1928 while still a teenager, before touring Australia with the New Zealand team in 1930 and playing five games in the three-quarter line. He scored a try against a Metropolis combination
Tittleton moved to Auckland club Richmond in 1936, along with brother Wally, who subsequently earned a Kiwis call-up.
