Devonport hooker Neville St George represented New Zealand against the touring Queensland team in 1925.

After serving in World War I, St George began playing rugby league for newly formed club Marist Old Boys in 1919. He joined Devonport in 1921 and debuted for Auckland the following season.

St George played against NSW for Auckland Province in 1922.

After featuring in the inaugural interisland match in 1925, St George played for Auckland against the New Zealand team that had just returned from its tour of Australia, scoring a try.

He was subsequently named at hooker for New Zealand's two matches against the famed Queensland combination at Carlaw Park - a 25-24 win and a 35-14 loss - as well as playing in Auckland's draw with the tourists in between, all in the space of eight days.

St George represented Auckland Province against England in 1928 and continued playing for Devonport until 1930. For almost 90 years he was credited with another Test appearance against England in 1932, when in fact it was his younger brother, the ill-fated Ed, who had played in the match.
