Auckland centre Kevin Potter played one minor match for New Zealand on its 1975 World Championship Series tour in Australia.

Potter earned Auckland selection for the inaugural midweek AMCO Cup competition in Australia, playing against eventual champs Western Division.

The former Mt Roskill player joined Maritime in 1975 and was selected in the Kiwis' squad for the first leg of the World Championship Series. But 22-year-old Potter injured his knee early in the second half of his debut, a 57-11 win over Central Queensland in Rockhampton. It would be his only appearance for his country.

He later had a player-coach stint with western Queensland club Cloncurry.
