West Coast legend Bill McLennan was a front-row mainstay for the Kiwis from 1951-57, playing 28 Test matches.
The Blackball stalwart received his first national call-up for the 1951-52 tour of Britain and France, where he featured in all six Tests against Great Britain, Wales and France.
McLennan was integral to New Zealand's 2-1 Test series triumphs against Australia in 1952 and '53, while featured in all three Tests against the 1954 Lions and the Kiwis' three matches at the inaugural World Cup later that year.
The rugged prop played in both matching against the touring Frenchmen in 1955 and in five of the six Tests on tour of Britain and France at the end of the season.
McLennan had his international swansong at the 1957 World Cup, scoring his only Test try in the 28-21 upset of Great Britain at the SCG and playing his 84th and final match for New Zealand against a France-England combination.
Underlining his standing in the pantheon of great Kiwi forwards, McLennan was among the second batch of NZRL Legends of League inductees in 2000.
