Back-rower/fullback George Seager played in New Zealand's one-off Test against Northern Union in 1910 and toured Australia with the national team the following season.An Auckland representative and founding North Shore player from 1909, Seager was a tryscorer in Auckland's heavy loss to the English tourists in 1910 before gaining selection in the second-row for the subsequent Test match.Seager was one of New Zealand's four tryscorers in the 52-20 loss at the Domain Cricket Ground in Auckland - the first Test match staged on New Zealand soil.In 1911, he showed his versatility on New Zealand's tour of Australia by playing three matches in the second-row and four at fullback. He top-scored for the team with 35 points (three tries, 13 goals) and played a key role in two wins over Queensland.Seager went on to represent Auckland at loose forward against NSW twice in 1912 (for a win and a loss) and once in 1913, before serving in World War I.Younger brother Allan went on to represent New Zealand on the 1930 tour of Australia.
