West Coast second-rower Kevin Dixon played 10 Tests for the Kiwis from 1965-70 and toured overseas three times with the national side.

The Marist (WCRL) tyro represented his province against France in 1964 and was just 21 when called up to debut in the second Test against Australia in 1965, partnering Don Hammond in the second-row in a 7-5 victory at Carlaw Park.

Dixon then toured Britain and France with the Kiwis at the end of the year, scoring four tries in 14 games and playing in two Tests against France.

Overlooked for the 1966 series against Great Britain, Dixon played all three Tests on New Zealand's 1967 tour of Australia - scoring a try in the series-opening loss at the SCG. He also bagged a hat-trick in a big win over Central Queensland in Rockhampton.

Dixon featured against France and, as a reserve, Great Britain during the 1968 World Cup, while his last appearance for New Zealand came in the dead-rubber Test against the 1970 Lions, when he came into the side for West Coast teammate John Hibbs.

The 27-year-old joined Sydney club Cronulla Sharks the following season, playing in the club's run to the pre-season Wills Cup final and in four first-grade games. He later coached Nelson-Marlborough in the 1990s.
