New Zealand Rugby League is proud to announce a new partnership with NZ-based travel company Orbit World Travel.
Part of the House of Travel Group, Orbit comes highly recommended and is well acquainted with the needs of sports travel.
“We are really pleased to be able to partner with a company that has a proven history of working with and supporting rugby league,” says NZRL marketing and sponsorship manager Philippa Ivory.
“Orbit has shown a genuine commitment to the game by joining our family of sponsors, while taking over all our travel management.
“With new competitions coming on-line this year, and a demanding football calendar that sees our elite teams making several trips to Australia and the UK at year’s end, we wanted the best possible level of service. We look forward to working with Orbit.”
Having been involved with the NRL Nines for the past three years, Orbit is also looking forward to working with NZRL, says Orbit World Travel Auckland director Brendan Drury.
“As a New Zealand-owned business, we are all about investing in time, passion, and inspiring solutions for our clients to make their travel needs that much easier and more efficient,” he says.
“With a strong future for New Zealand rugby league, we can’t wait to use our leading technology, services, experience, and industry partnerships to benefit the NZRL.”
As well as its obvious expertise in the travel industry, Orbit’s community values align closely with the game of rugby league. It contributes to charities like Hospice New Zealand, and help clients reduce their carbon footprints by providing CO2 calculations for flights, considering carbon-friendly hotels and recommending fuel-efficient vehicles.
Orbit will be responsible for flying our staff nationally and internationally, and transporting our representative teams around the country to NZRL national premiership and championship fixtures, as well as our national teams for international duty.
